Following Mt. Rushmore we decided to take the Steam Train. We boarded the train in Keystone and traveled to Hill City and back again. Along the way we kept an eye out for wildlife.
We watch down the track as the steam train pulls up to the station.
As we board the train they take the engine and turn it around so it can go back the way it came.
There were enclosed and open cars. By the time we got on board the enclosed cars were too full for a family of 7. We headed to the open cars.
We saw a lot of deer. This is the best picture I got of them.
Our half way point at Hill City. We stopped for lunch and a look through the gift shop before heading back.
